Over the past few years, attention in the rational choice literature has shifted to include not only what is considered in decision-making, but how individuals are able to make those decisions. The current project will assess a rational choice perspective with two forms of potential victimization, including third party trust online and simulated smishing attacks. The data from this project will be used to inform and develop a risk assessment for cybersecurity professionals to tailor education and training for various end users on their networks and those they are responsible for protecting.
